How do I target an element nested inside of a class?

p span is the nested element

You need to write the css for each element in it's own set of curly braces. I've rewritten your code with correct syntax below.

.intro {
  font-size: 1.25em; 
  line-height: 1.6; 
}

p span {
  font-weight: bold; 
  font-style: italic; 
}

This is not working for me.
