How to build a Wordpress theme Course has a mistake

I should preface this by saying I'm sick so there's a chance I could be wrong here, however I don't think that's the case. I'm currently at the lesson of "Displaying Custom Posts and Fields in a Template" and around the 4:45 mark you guys start getting in to the custom fields. In the admin panel you have defined all sorts of fields that haven't even been discussed up to this point other than the project over view in the very first chapter. These inconsistencies makes it frustrating when you're following along, I've re-watched this video twice and it wasn't covered at all.

The important thing to note here is that if you do follow along, your local files are invalid now and you have to simply copy over them with the project files that are correct. All because you guys left content out of the process. That sucks for learning and that's why I wanted to bring it to your attention and see it get fixed.

Thanks for the heads up. Let's hope they can fix it soon... i'm on a learning frenzy!

I took a break and came back to the lesson this morning. After going through each lesson from the very beginning, I realized that I have made the mistake and the "missing" information can actually be found in "Content Strategy With Wordpress>Custom Post Types" and "Content Strategy With Wordpress>Adding Custom Content to the Site."

The odd thing is that when I went back and looked, the last video of that series had never been watched. I don't know if this is a mistake made on my behalf of if I was some how promoted on to the next section of the lesson plan? Either way, things appear to be good on my end.

This happened to me also. It skipped the video "Adding Custom Content to the Site" and moved me straight onto the next stage.

The only content that I can't find is what's shown at 4:06 in the "Displaying Custom Posts and Fields in a Template."

It appears that posts have been created for the portfolio content but I can't determine what videos that was done in. And as mentioned in my previous post, I some how missed an entire video but my records indicate that I haven't missed any others. Can someone tell me where to find this?

On a side note, I checked my badges and despite missing an entire video, I was able to earn my badge in that course yesterday. That feels a little buggy/wrong to me but I digress.

Hey there! At about 30sec in here we go over installing the plugins and setting up the fields and post types

http://teamtreehouse.com/library/how-to-build-a-wordpress-theme#converting-static-html-into-wordpress-templates

Let me know if that's what you're looking for.

At the end of the stage is when it says to input all the content.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, it's actually the lesson I'm about to start.

Unfortunately that's two chapters after the one I posted about so I guess I was partially right about some of the missing content. I guess it wasn't important to have that information at that time but we tend to panic when our version doesn't match what we see on our screen. Nor can we follow the lesson when we don't have the same data to display on our end which is what the lesson was about. It may seem like splitting hairs but this was enough friction in the process to derail my course work and cause me to trouble shoot the project before calling it quits for the night.

I don't have a solution, I just wanted to bring this to Treehouse's attention as a possible problem. Thanks for taking time on Sunday to reply, I appreciate everyone's efforts to help me.
