How to Build a Wordpress | Themes and Function | Displaying Custom Posts and Fields in a Template

The videos talks about each of our work posts displaying on the page. We didn't add any content for the work posts ( stop visual Stop Visual Pollution, Dr Wattz, etc)
or did I miss anything? I went back and checked all the videos again. None of them has shown us when and how to add the these content to the site. I tried to add it through going to Work post, but it still doesn't display on the page.

Can anyone help with this issue?

Okay, I've found the solution after digging some older forum threads with the same problem. Turns out, we need to download the project files from here: http://teamtreehouse.com/library/websites/how-to-build-a-wordpress-theme/content-strategy-with-wordpress/project-overview, inside there's a text file called work-projects.txt with all the information you need to to create that content. Then go to your dashboard, and from the main menu on the left, select "Add Project" under "Work" main option. Then just copy the information from the text file: the title, url, colors etc and publish. And no, I didn't see such instructions anywhere in the videos either, seems like most people were confused the same way :D

Hi, Check the end of this video where we add the custom post types and then say to go and add the rest of the work items through the admin area. Then in later videos we go over how to have the work posts display on the page. Hope this helps!

The end of which video exactly? I've got the same problem here. And I've followed the instructions step by step so far, don't know how I could've missed it. In Displaying Custom Posts and Fields in a Template, as well as some previous videos, the content mentioned by the OP is already added and "refresh and you'll see them displayed" instructions are given for displaying them after using certain functions, but we haven't created anything to display yet.

At the end of this one it says to add the additional shirts. Do you mean you were unsure when we added all of the work entries?

Additional shirts? You've lost me. :( So, at the end of that video (the one you've linked: Adding Custom Content to the Site), it says that I can now download the demo content and start adding it to my WP site. However, the video itself doesn't give any link to the demo content, just the two plug-ins we install. First I went to the beginning of the stage where there was a link to the project files and there are many image files with two text files there. Then I also downloaded the project files from the next stage and there are more files there. none of them are really helpful though, since I have no idea which files I need to grab and where and how to add them. I just feel stupid now :(

Hi!

Sorry, work items! (This shirts were the PHP videos :p)

The download content is the text documents and images.

Is adding the work items what you were asking about?

That's what I (kinda) thought. ^..^; So the beginning of the stage, alright, i got those alright. I believe visualization is the best to avoid any confusion: http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww178/Quna88/pages_zps909096fc.jpg
