How to create a file on console?

For making folders we use the command "mkdir ". What command should be used to make a file of any type?

Depends on what operating system you are using.

On linux or macOs it would be the touch command

touch file.txt

On windows it would be the echo command

echo.>file.txt

this is helpful. Thanks!

You can also create files with the nano just type:

nano nameOfTheNewFile.txt

^0 And save :)
