HTML code and CSS code - Seperated

Hi, Community!

I have noticed that in this exercise, there are two different working files in the workspace - index.html and styles.css.

Let's imagine I have a job coding websites. Will I always have two different working files for a webpage (one for html and one for css)?

Hi Allison,

Yes, there will (or at least should be) at least 2 files. This would be for an extremely simple site though. When you start working on more detailed and complex sites, you could potentially end up with files numbering in the hundreds. You could have 100s of HTML files, many CSS files, and a bunch of files of JavaScript, and / or any backend languages...
But, the short answer here... yes, HTML and CSS will always be separate.
