I am wanting to build my first website for my friend who is a musician and I would love to hear peoples ideas.

Like I said I would love to hear people thoughts and ideas on ways to make a great website for a small musician. His music is electronic based and doesn't have any lyrics. So far I have thought of six pages that I want to build for the site. These pages being Home, Music, Videos, Art, Blog, and About. The big thing i'm trying to figure out right now is the right theme for the site. Thanks in advance for any input!

Coding it yourself is the best way to learn, but keep in mind it takes a lot of practice to develop a WordPress theme with all the bells and whistles. You might check out some themes for musicians and this list of plugins for musicians.

Also, be sure to check out the WordPress Theme Development course.
