i called throw new Error from other function did't work? any useful idea's

throw new Error didn't' work in console:

/*create randomnumber*/
function getRandomNumber( lower, upper ) { 
 // call function to check if argumetns are numbers// if(checklowerUpper( lower, upper )){}
  else{
  return Math.floor(Math.random() * (upper - lower + 1)) + lower; 
}}

function checklowerUpper( lower, upper ) {
  if (isNaN(lower)|| isNaN(upper)) {throw new Error('error message')}}

console.log( getRandomNumber( 'nine', 24 ) );
console.log( getRandomNumber( 1, 100 ) );
console.log( getRandomNumber( 200, 'five hundred' ) );
console.log( getRandomNumber( 1000, 20000 ) );
console.log( getRandomNumber( 50, 100 ) );

It worked for me.

When I tried your code, It caused the error just as expected. I'm not sure why you would have seen different results.

But there are some issues when the error is not thrown. You call checklowerUpper inside an if expression, but the function checklowerUpper doesn't return any value for the if to test.
