3,117 PointsI can't figure our what am I doing wrong. While the code passes correctly though the terminal of my Mac.
The code should work, but it does not.
class Letter:
def __init__(self, pattern=None):
self.pattern = pattern
def __iter__(self):
yield from self.pattern
def __str__(self):
output = []
for blip in self:
if blip == '.':
output.append('dot')
else:
output.append('dash')
return '-'.join(output)
@classmethod
def from_string(cls, string):
ls = string.split("-")
pattern = []
for item in ls:
if item == "dash":
pattern.append("-")
if item == "dot":
pattern.append(".")
return cls(pattern).pattern
class S(Letter):
def __init__(self):
pattern = ['.', '.', '.']
super().__init__(pattern)

11,650 PointsHi there! your code is perfect There is a slight mistake though (according to the question), You need to remove the.pattern
return cls(pattern).pattern # remove .pattern
You might not want to use if repeatedly (Though it works ) still I suggest, you should use elif instead of repeated ifs.
elif items == "dot":
Now you are good to go !.
