iOS Swift Basics (retired) Control Flow For-In Loop

I can't get it and would like an explanation for the answer.

???

for_loops.swift
for number in 1...10 {println("\(number)times 7 is \(number * 7)"}

1 Answer

you are missing the closing parenthesis of the println function. you need to add a parenthesis after the quote

for number in 1...10 {println("\(number)times 7 is \(number * 7)")}

also the challenge states: Your output should look like this:

1 * 7 = 7

2 * 7 = 14

with *, not the word times, and =, not is

for number in 1...10 {println("\(number) * 7 = \(number * 7)")}

and generally its best to split up code onto multiple lines for readability purposes:

for number in 1...10 {

  println("\(number) * 7 = \(number * 7)")

}

Thank You!

Completely new to all this so thank you for also showing me how to do it!
