I have install WP theme, and its not looking how I it should be like, when I am going through the videos.

I've install word press theme called "Sportify" and I am having trouble trying to get it work. I have looked at videos from Treehouse and Lynda. I am still stuck.

Please be more specific when asking for help. Show code, errors, printsceens and so on. This assuming that you want to do things by yourself. You always have the option to pay as Carmine Sarno pointed out.

Thanks Ivo, its my first time trying with word press. I have it installed, I am trying to add the menu and changes what it looks like and well It has taken me a while. I am trying to figure out how to change the body copy. The font is not what I want. I am able to control the other fonts. That is a good idea to put screenshots, but I did not see a download or upload button. Its been awhile since I have been back into treehouse.

Use an external website to upload photos and post only the link. Well... WordPress is great for a blogger otherwise you have to learn some basic HTML CSS JS and PHP to customize your theme or even to make most out of a premium theme. Completing the WordPress courses without knowing anything of these will be a bit hard and ineffective.

I don't know if you are trying to build something for business or only to practice but I found that using a CMS such as WordPress even with great themes will be very hard to build a business website. This because you will have to adapt your project to your knowledge and you will be limiting your project again and again until your original project is not there any longer. So I think it's totally worth to take some time to learn what it takes to customize your (or others) themes or just invest in a developer and get exactly what your business needs (take care in this. there are many good developers out there but they are usually expensive, and there are others that will sell themselves as developers but can't accomplish everything you have in mind). Even in large projects you will see budgets of millions when it could be thousands. Evaluating all these is very hard and even huge companies fail miserably sometimes.

Thanks Ivo for your feedback. I have been going step by step with this wordpress and I had a different theme I wanted to use, but my friend wanted to use this theme. The project is for both for me to get practice and he will have his site up for his MMA bio. I am going to have to take this a little slower then I thought.

Is it the "Sportify" gym theme by TeslaThemes? If so, the theme file you downloaded after purchase should contain documentation and demo content (according to the theme creator). The included documentation should give step-by-step instructions on how to install the theme, its plugins, and its demo content to make it look like the demo site.

If you want someone else to install the theme for you, I would check out some of the people offering their services on Fiverr ( https://www.fiverr.com/categories/programming-tech/wordpress-services/ ). Plenty of people on there will install a Wordpress theme for $5 or so.

Thanks Carmine... I have found it and see what I can do. This theme seems a little tricky.

Great advice from Carmine.

Yes, WordPress themes cab be confusing to setup especially if you don't have experience setting up a lot of themes.

Since there is no one standard for how to setup any given theme, the most important thing is to make sure the theme developer provided documentation and hopefully example content.
