I keep getting "SyntaxError: script.js: Unexpected token `` (8:13)" but there is nothing there

Keep getting the same error even if I change the code, the error changes to a different random location

script.js 
function max(small, large) {
  if (small < large) {
    return large;
} else {
  return small;
}

max(10,20)

It looks like you are leaving your function open.

You need a second }
