ID and class selectors

In the HTML file, give the h1 element the class main-heading.

Hi everyone, am stock here, this is what i have on my code challenge and its not working:

<h1>Lake Tahoe, California class="main-heading"</h1>

How is it formatted? Can you please post your code? From the sound of it and from the looks of it, you may need to give it a class IN the opening of the heading tag, not at the end. It should be within the first < >.

You closed the tag too soon.

This is what you have:

< h1 > class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California< /h1 > Do you notice the h1 tag is not closed in the correct spot? It should look like this:
