JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Add a Final Else Clause

If variables are both false what is the correct way to add a final clause?

var isAdmin = false; var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) { alert('Welcome administrator'); } else (isStudent) { alert('Welcome student'); } else { alert('Who are you?');

For this Challenge, I am not seeing why this is not passing.

script.js
var isAdmin = false;
var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
  alert('Who are you?');

change the first else statement to an else if statement, if you had even more statements they would also be else if statements and end with an else statement

It looks like you forgot the if part of "else if".

In your second condition, you need an if between the else and the conditional expression.

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
  alert('Who are you?');

Using a condition in an else-Statement is not working. You have to use "else if(condition)".
