8,019 PointsI'm appending this element in the test and it's showing up in the preview yet it's saying my answer is wrong. Why?
This is kind of getting aggravating. I'm trying to add an element with this quiz and in the preview the element that I'm supposed to append shows up, yet, my answer continues to return as wrong. Am I missing something?

41,120 PointsThe challenge wants you to use the variable that you created in task 1, and append that. You have essentially done two steps in one with your solution, but the challenge wants to see the intermediate step still of you creating the variable.

41,120 PointsIt's just a case of breaking it down over two lines, like this:
const $newStudent = $('<li>Sam Smith</li>'); // Create new variable containing list element.
$('.student-list').append($newStudent); // Append this element to the list.
