I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I was asked to create a function, add a return but it's not working

function getYear() { const year = new Date().getFullYear(); return year(); }

Hey Albert. In your function, when you are asked to return the variable "year", you added parentheses at the end...

return year();

Just remove the parentheses and you should be good. :)
