Image sizes in custom fields/posts

I just finished the Wordpress lesson on custom post types and custom fields. I have set up a gallery of work similar to what was done with the art in the video example. Everything seems to be working correctly except where I have created a field for an image to display, the images are all displaying at full size and not at the sizes I selected when I defined my custom fields. Am I missing something?

were the images already uploaded before you created the custom fields? If so, you'll need to regenerate the thumbnails to have Wordpress create the correct image sizes that you specified. http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails-new-image-sizes-wordpress/
