23,932 PointsImportance of Order for if() statements?
I am assuming that the order is important for if(!empty($search) and if(!empty($category))?
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance!

70,280 PointsIn this particular case it doesn't matter since you're using the logical operator "and". The result of only the first part, !empty($search), will not give us enough info to evaluate the condition as a whole.
Only time it can sorta matter is with an "or". Still, with an "or" the order doesn't make that big a difference
Let me know if this helps here

23,932 PointsI don't see any logical operators, "OR" || or "AND" &&. Where are they?
Why I am realizing now in hindsight is that it shouldn't matter since $category can only be set if someone clicks on a link. and $search can only be set if someone hits a form submit button. It's impossible to click a link and form submit button at the same time, so therefore it shouldn't matter.
I'm still a little fuzzy on this. Please let me know if my theory is correct. Thanks!
