Sublime Text all the way if your on a Mac especially. Text Wrangler is ok but not nearly as clean or easy to use.

Any text editor will do, I use Sublime Text.

Thanks Cristian. I started using TextWrangler, I'll look into Sublime Text.

Is Sublime Text free or what? Every now and then a message will pop up saying that although the trial use is not timed, I will eventually have to pay for it.

It is free to use but as the website says if you will be continuing to use it they suggest paying for it. (Helps the programmers continue there work on the awesome product) The good news is it is not a per computer license, it is per user so if you have multiple systems like a desktop and a laptop then you can install it on both units. It in my opinion is worth every penny, I do not remember what lesson it was in but one lesson I took on TreeHouse shows how to set the tab distance in spaces so it is automatic when coding. Giving a very clean look to your code and helping make the code very easy for others to read.
