In WordPress how to show categories in one page with image and little description about that category

In WordPress im facebing some problem - my client want to show all categories listed in one page - and also want to link them to each category sub listed items, like this i have more categories and also sub listed items in that categories...like one page for some selected categories can show with there respective sub items linkable..

Please some one help me how to fix this problem. Thank you very much in advance

You will want to customize the archive.php or category.php template and use the following function to grab what you want: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_the_category

Sir in my wordpress i can't able to add Achive.php and also not able to add category.php page once i add in those pages my site getting once error... i created one template page for rosegallery and fruit gallery, on front page i want to show all categories i made those in nice format...
