    class Polygon
    {
        public readonly int NumSides;

        public Polygon(int numSides)
        {
            NumSides = numSides;
        }
    }

    class Square : Polygon
    {
        public readonly int SideLength;

        public Square(int sideLength) : base (numSides)
        {

Since NumSides is the argument for the base class, you simply pass the desired value as the argument to base:

        public Square(int sideLength) : base(4)
