Installed Xammp, now get 'Index of' when I try to visit my Wordpress.org site

Since I've installed Xammp I can't get to my wordpress blog or the wp-admin to log in. I can however get to other pages on my blog, just not the main site. I don't understand what has changed. Any help appreciated.

Sorry folks, this may have nothing to do with Xammp. I'll check with my hosting company first.

Hi Nick,

You installed XAMP and WordPress locally, correct? If that is so, then you're hosting company won't be able to help since the site is on your computer and not on their servers.

Were our videos on Installing WordPress Locally helpful?

Thanks Zac, I altered and of course messed up my .htaccess file at one point which was the source of my problems, not Xammp.

It was just the timing that made me think Xammp had something to do with it. Thanks for responding though! I am back in business.
