Is Drupal really that difficult to learn?

Hey,

I've got a client who just hates WordPress. I'm searching on line and everybody is telling me that Drupal is extremely difficult to learn compared with WordPress, are they talking to non-developers?

I've been working with WordPress for over 4 years and pretty much do everything custom i.e. editing the header.php file, doing a little PHP here and there...

I'm guessing that it's Drupals file structure that is hard to get familiar with, or am I missing something? Am I in store for a big surprise? Should I back away now and learn Joomla instead haha!

Nooo! Stay away from Joomla! No, Drupal does have a learning curve at first, but it really isn't difficult at all. As a matter of fact, I think it's easier than Wordpress. I think it's more difficult for the average user to use the backend though.

Thanks Jaco, I had forgotten about this hah
