5,740 PointsIs there any possible way to add plugins on the .com version of WordPress? I know the .org version will, why not .com?
It would be nice if the .com version would have plugins...anybody know a way around this besides having the .org version? Thanks.

5,673 PointsWordPress.com is a hosted WP version. That means you won't need your own webspace, domain etc. to get your WP Blog running. Downside: The WordPress.com provider don't allow a lot of activities on their servers. Apparently also not installing insecure plugins.
WordPress.org allows you to download the WordPress installation package to your computer. Then you can upload it to your own webspace/hosting provider, where you are in charge and can do whatever you like within the rules of the hosting provider and features of your hosting package. Thus you can install plugins as much as you like on your own wordpress installation, which was downloaded from WordPress.org

28,149 PointsNo there is not. And that is because Wordpress doesn't want to risk compromising their servers by others possibly vulnerable plugins that you installed.
Your only option is to move to the .org version.
