3,826 PointsWhilst it is a little bit confusing to start. The em value is driven by the default size of the attributenamely 16px the 53/16px is just a comment to show that if you were using a relative px value that it should be 53px.
So your font size is 53/16 = 3.3125em
I hope this clears it up.
