PHP PHP Basics Daily Exercise Program String Manipulation

It's telling me I'm not displaying the right string

I'm stuck on the 3rd task challenge on the PHP course and it keeps telling me that I'm not displaying the right string when I believe I actually am

index.php
<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName .= $firstName . " " .$lastName;

echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP \n";

?>

Hey there!

You have a dot that's not supposed to be there. The line where you declare the fullName variabe, should be like this (without the dot before the "=" sign):

<?php
$fullName = $firstName . " " . $lastName;
?>

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
