Laravel Basics installation on Windows 8

I've been following the tutorial on Laravel basics and the whole installation part is a mess on Windows. Hampton makes no reference to windows installation.

I can't install homestead, I don't even know what it is to be honest, I would appreciate feedback from someone who successfully installed all the necessary on Windows in order for me to start the course. Thanks in advance

Installing Homestead on a windows machine can be a pain haha. Below is a link to Hampton's video that shows how to install homestead on a Windows Machine. I hope it helps :)

I keep getting the following problem on my Windows 10 machine....

vagrant up

Bringing machine 'default' up with 'virtualbox' provider... ==> default: Checking if box 'laravel/homestead' is up to date... ==> default: VirtualBox VM is already running.
