Laravel still does wants to use the Homestead database

Laravel still does wants to use Homestead database although I change the database to odot in database.php. I'm using Laraval 5.4.

I have created the odot-database I can see it in sequel pro.

return DB::select('select database();') still gives me homestead

Is this a cache issue?

Oh, just realize the database settings should be set in .env, not in database.php
