Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raise an Exception

less than sign not supported between string & integer...

I wrote out less than 3... not sure if I need any other characters around it to support that.

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    if product_idea  <=3:
        raise ValueError("not enough characters")
    return product_idea + "inator"

Hi Aaron

In this challenge your are actually asked to compare if the length of product_idea is less than 3. We can get the length in Python with the built-in len()-function.

def suggest(product_idea):
    if len(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("not enough characters")
    return product_idea + "inator"

Hope this helps!
