Make it run faster, problems with images and loading time :(

So I have a lot of problems with this site, I did the report on it but I do not quit understand it:

http://myshelterandi.com

report : http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmyshelterandi.com

for some reason the images dont seem to be a problem but they still take a long time to load up

and also, Your page has 2 blocking script resources and 4 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.

How do I take care of that?

Any other ideas how to fix that page up?

Thanks

The reason your pictures are taking to long to load is because they're huge images. If you find a way to resize/compress them, I'm sure it will speed up the load time.

A way you can see how big a picture is if you right click on an image and copy/paste the image url in the address bar and go to that page.

For example, one the image links you have on the page is: Example

There are many online solutions, but you can also do this with photoshop or any image editor.

Cheers!
