Make the text inside each list item a link.

What am I doing wrong? Help me please!

Hi Meri,

You need to put the target inside href like this:

   <li><a href="cakes.html">cakes</a></li>
   <li><a href="pies.html">pies</a></li>
   <li><a href="candy.htm">candy</a></li>

Hi Meri

The cakes.html etc should be inside the href attribute. Then inside the <a> tags themselves the text.

<li><a href='cakes.html'>Cakes</a></li>

Try something like that. The href is the hyperlink reference i.e the destination for the link and the text in between the <a> tags is the actual text.
