Making a group Wordpress site

Hi all I am having a go at making a website for the community woodcrafts group I attend. So far I have managed to follow Zac Gordans earlier blog post installing twitter bootstrap.

What I am after is further suggestions what plugin's I can add to enhance the group I was thinking a forum and a blog so far. So any suggestions to what can make a useful site?

Hi Scott,

Glad you found the tutorial helpful. You should check out bbpress.org for adding a forum to the site. There is also buddypress.org, which turns a WordPress site into more of a social network. Both of these plugins are made by the folks behind WordPress.

However they may be an overshot. What functionality are you looking for for members. You can check out our How to Make a WordPress Blog videos for how to build out the blog section of the site.
