Managed Wordpress Hosting

I just signed up with Treehouse and have been watching some of the Wordpress lessons. I already have a domain and GoDaddy Managed Wordpress Hosting. ( Had this before I found Treehouse.) The Treehouse lessons use Filezilla FTP. I found this about FTP in the Go Daddy help info: https://www.godaddy.com/help/connecting-to-your-hosting-account-with-filezilla-ftp-104

Can I follow these instructions and have what I need with the FTP for the lessons? Or do I need to switch to another hosting service? I'm totally new to all of this, so I need "easy" and something that follows along with the lessons. If the GoDaddy managed hosting plan isn't really a good option for me, I'd like to know now and switch to something you recommend. Thanks for your help!

Hi Anne,

You shouldn't need to switch hosting to follow on with the lessons as most of the information will be the same anyway.

Treehouse also has a Local WordPress Development course which you can use to follow along with WordPress locally before deploying to the live environment via FTP.

Hope that helps :)
