Min-height and styling thumbnails

The following page on this Wordpress site is having styling issues, in that the exceprt containers are not lining up nicely in rows

I know how to fix the issue, in that the min-height of the excerpts can be increased. Though, I am not entirely sure of why this is happening.

I also feel like there is a better way to have this structured.

If anyone has any suggestions/advice, that'd be greatly appreciated.
