Module request -- Wordpress: Fine tuning the front and backend performance

Hi all,

I think that Treehouse need to do a course on reducing the amount of requests that are needed on the front end and back end of WordPress.

I understand that WordPress is awesome but often find the sites clunky when they are over burdened with plugins and a myriad of custom post type requests.

For this, things like the Transients API are perfect but I'd also like to know more anout other similar functions that WordPress has to offer, through Treehouse.

What do you think Zac Gordon?

I must agree. I would like to like to see a course that will help me fine tune and optimise performance, using the Wordpress transient api or any other method.

Also the Wordpress treeehouse courses have not been updated for some time now, and would like to see more advanced topics like Rest API, Database API or building an app using frameworks like angular with Wordpress backend.
