5,655 Pointsmoved to mamp pro & lost 'bootstrap to wordpress' course site
Hi, I've just upgraded to MAMP Pro as I want to develop multiple wordpress sites on localhost. I've managed to get everything connecting again (database, wordpress install etc) but when I select the bootstrap to wordpress theme (which was still showing in wordpress) the index page seems to default to the one in wp-admin instead of the files in wp-content that I had written while doing the bootstrap to wordpress course. Does anyone know how I can get wordpress to read the actual theme files? (hope that's not too unclear!) Thank you!

Treehouse Guest TeacherWhen you switch between your other themes do they all work okay?

5,655 PointsThanks for the reply Zac - I'm really enjoying your courses!!
I didn't have any other themes installed (or wordpress installs) before I upgraded to mamp pro, but since I upgraded I started work on one other one that I'm using for your 'wordpress themes' course and it's working fine so far.
I did wonder if maybe the install didn't work properly because there is no htdocs file in my dated folder that I read is where the old mamp install is supposed to be - so there are no themes in that file either?
I'm very new to wordpress and mamp so maybe I just don't understand enough how it all works yet - but wouldn't it be the case that if you upgrade mamp you should expect a previous site you've done in wordpress should be accessible still? I can see all the files from the Bootstrap to Wordpress course in the themes folder, I can still select that theme in the wordpress themes, but all the pages have disappeared out of the dashboard, and even when I put a home page into the pages section and set it up as a static page, none of the content from the files shows on that page. Should I have to re-do all of the pages in the wordpress dashboard?
Sorry for all the questions - but thanks again for answering!
