Moving from one domain to another - Hosting

I have hosting with webhostingforstudents.com & have recently decided I would like to change the name of my domain.

I purchased the new domain.

I am wondering how I can go about changing the domain linked to the account and hopefully moving all of the data.

Is it a large process?

Should I just request them to cancel the account and start fresh?
