NameError: name not defined

It keeps saying that name is not defined. Not sure why this error is cropping up.

first_class.py
class Student:
    name = "Jack"

    def praise(self):
        return 'I really like your hair {} ' + name

You need to specify which name variable you want to use.

name = "Sam"

class Student:
    name = "Jack"

    def praise(self):
        return 'I really like your hair ' + self.name

There could be a scenario where you have another variable called name outside the Student class. Hence python needs you to specify the variable.

using self.name returns Jack. but using name returns Sam.
