Need help on installing Elastic Search for WordPress

Currently I am running WordPress on a Free Plan of Openshift Online. I just would like to host elastic search on Openshift to enhance the search functionality on my WordPress site.

I come across the github repository openshift-elasticsearch-cartridge which I found to be very useful. But the problem is that I do not know how to get started.

Besides, I come across an article posted about one year ago on Tutsplus with the title "WordPress Full Text Search With ElasticSearch". It is a great and informative article, but the current version of Wordpress is 4.0 and I am not sure whether it is still workable or not.

Could you please do me a favor and provide me with some guidance on how to get started?

I would be much appreciated for your feedback and guidance, thank you so much!
