Need help with Adding Data with SQL objectives. I can not get the objectives right.

We have an eCommerce database and it has a products table. It has the columns id, name, description and price.

Add a new product to the products table. Use any valid values you want. All columns are required. The id column is auto incrementing.

This is the answer i posted.

INSERT INTO products (id, name, description, price) VALUES (NULL, “DOVE”, “DEODORANT”, “3.99”);

Something is goofy with how the challenge is interpreting your double quotes. Your quotes look like “DOVE” and mine that work fine look like "Dove" (notice the curve vs straight) - something character set related - I don't have the details but if you check a character map you will see they both have different values. Maybe try single quotes and/or check with a mod for how to move forward. Also, you shouldn't need to specify the id column since it is auto incrementing - but it does work the way you did it with the replaced single or double quotes.

It looks like you're using word-processing type ("curly") quotes instead of normal programming quotes. Here it is with the quotes changed (and I just left them off the price):

INSERT INTO products (id, name, description, price) VALUES (NULL, "DOVE", "DEODORANT", 3.99);
