Negation Regex video: Why does the [-\w ] portion of this query (at ~7:00) bring back two characters instead of one?

(Note: the teacher promptly adds a + at the end of this to correct it for the task at hand.)

That's a good question and it actually took me a minute to figure out. The [-\w ] didn't bring back two characters. It brought back one. But then the [^\t\n] brought back a second because the next character isn't a tab or newline.
