New wordpress course released. What are your guys thoughts? I think I needed the connection there and it's a great reference for popular interfaces to use for WordPress (Capital P Dangit!) development. Thanks for another great course Jesse Peter!

Here's your Bucket |__| lolrus.

I've been looking for the bucket for three years thank you!

I believe that wordpress is just a way for lazy people who don't want to learn how to code to make a website. Treehouse should not offer such a thing if they want to promote coding. Do not waste your time with wordpress and learn something that will get you a lot further, HTML and CSS

Woah now, WordPress(Capital P Dangit) is a great interface, it is one on the most widely used interfaces, not only that but it can also be hard coded.

I'm just saying that HTML and CSS are more useful and would get you further in life. I understand that you have done almost all the courses and have experience in all web coding.

You could argue that, it's just preference.

You can't run a wordpress site without it having HTML and CSS. I suggest you go learn a thing or two before speaking such ignorance.

From what I've seen, you don't need to write any html or css.

At first it there is a a lot of learning the interface. But as a get into creating a plugin part of it, you end up doing a lot of php coding. But this is toward the end of the course.

Well you haven't seen enough. A wordpress site certainly doesn't create itself out of thin air. How would there be a website if no one wrote HTML or CSS? Think about it and maybe go back to the basics if you do not understand that every site needs HTML and CSS regardless if it has a content management system. It takes coding knowledge to make it. A wordpress site has HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript. You can easily get a theme and plugin that has already been written by a wordpress developer. That requires no coding effort since someone already did the hard work for you. You can build custom web applications with wordpress and that requires coding HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript. Sometimes there is not a plugin to do what your site wants and you have to code your own.

I know wordpress is built with html and css, but the making a website part is aided with tools that make it easier.

Hey guys, this is supposed to be a positive forum post about the new course!

it is all ghost code's fault, I was simply stating my opinion, but he decided to turn it into a useless argument.
