Wouldn't it be more advantages of us to not create a method or field to override instead of using the new keyword?

The only instance I can think the "new" approach would be appropriate is a circumstance where you need to access both the child's and the base's properties of the same type.

No doubt, it is hard to justify this redundancy in most circumstances.
