To help myself stay motivated I’ve created a project, but need to ask for some help on how best to achieve my desired outcome. I want to create an automated screening and allocation process for staff parking. These are the steps I’m thinking of following,
- Staff member fills out an application form
- Information is uploaded to a database (or should the form input be added to an array?)
- Uploaded application is scored
- Based on the score a parking space is allocated These are my issues, I know how to create the application forms in HTML and uploading to the database is easy enough, but unsure how to score the application and then how to use that score to influence the outcome of the allocation process. What I’m imagining is, based on how someone answers the application they’re assigned a probability score and then if 15 people apply for 10 spaces, that probability score is somehow taken into consideration during a random selection process.
If you have any insight into how you would structure a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks
