to be honest not sure what im doing

let role = lastname + firtsname = ('developer');

Remove your "()" around you name and developer. should look like this.

let firstName = "Ralph";
let lastName = "Bury";
let role = 'developer';

This assigns your variables the appropriate 'value'. The "()" are confusing your JavaScript. im assuming you are wanting to combine these variables into a string. so you will need to create a variable that will do that. something like...

let msg= firstName + lastName + role;

This will read: "RalphBurydeveloper"

notice there is no spaces. you will need to add space manually in to the string.

let msg = firstName + ' ' + lastName + ' ' + role;

this will read: "Ralph Bury developer"

if you need to add punctuation you will need to add it in to your string as well.
