No images appear in dashboard after uploading them into wysiwyg and to "Featured Image" areas.

I'm having some issues on the dashboard side of things that I haven't seen any answers to just googling around. When I go to upload an image to the wysiwyg editor, the following issues happen:

-when I click "Add Media" above the wysiwyg, the option to media library appears but is stuck loading -I can still upload images just fine, but when I click "Insert into Post", the modal closes like it should, but no images are present in the wysiwig -the same thing happens for "Featured Image"

I continued with the videos thinking the images might be there but might just not be showing up in the dashboard for some reason, but I got major issues, so I'm trying to solve this first before moving on to figure out what the rest of the issues are.

I've made sure that "Featured Image" is enabled in Post Types UI. Pretty confused :(
