No rspec folder or a spec-helper file.

My application does not have an rspec folder or a spec-helper file. Did I miss something? Most recent version of ruby, rails 4.2.0 and OS X Yosemite. Please help!

May I see the contents of your Gemfile?

Robert Goddard here is is:

source 'https://rubygems.org'

gem 'rails', '4.2.0' gem 'sqlite3' gem 'sass-rails', '~> 5.0' gem 'uglifier', '>= 1.3.0' gem 'coffee-rails', '~> 4.1.0' gem 'jquery-rails' gem 'turbolinks' gem 'jbuilder', '~> 2.0' gem 'sdoc', '~> 0.4.0', group: :doc

group :development do gem 'rspec-rails', '~> 2.0' gem 'byebug' gem 'web-console', '~> 2.0'

gem 'spring' end

group :test do gem 'capybara', '~> 2.1.0' end

Its slightly different from the video but I'm assuming that's because of version updates?

Yeah, rails upgrades come out so fast it's hard for anyone to keep up with accurate word for word tutorials. Give me a few minutes, I'm going to see if I can remember how to get rspec working. It's been a while since I've messed with rails so bear with me.

So I was able to get it by running rails generate rspec:install! looks like it did the trick.

annnnnd I just watched the video again and that's the exact same thing he did in the video....whoops! Must have missed that part. Ignore this question!

Excellent :)
