Node.JS Merging

From my understanding I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with my code. I keep getting the error message 'Your implementation is off. Try again. I've out of ideas to try to figure this out.

var emailTemplate = "Hi %first_name%! Thanks for completing this code challenge :)";

var mergedContent = utilities.merge(emailTemplate, mailValues);

You are certainly on the right track. The challenge is asking us to replace the placeholders with percent signs (%) surrounding them you have {{ and }}. Something like "%"+key+"%" is what you are looking for, I believe.
