non-200 response

I am getting a non-200 response error on my code and I'm not sure why.

flask_app.py 
from flask import Flask
from flask import request

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
def index():
    return 'Hello {}'.format(name)

I'm not familiar with flask - at all. or python, but the following seems to work

from flask import Flask
from flask import request

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route('/')
def index():
    return 'Hello '+request.args.get('name')

so you don't need to display {}, and it didn't like how you were trying to access the name. I'm not sure the above is the preferred way to get a parameter for flask (some similar system create parameters using the URL and wildcards - not sure about flask).
