Dane's answer gives all the information needed, but make sure you follow the challenge directions, too. The end result should be printing "<Your Name> can code in Java!" like this:

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "star";
console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

You have the syntax for your printf statement wrong it supposed to look like this:

console.printf("%flag", variableThatFlagPointsTo);

So with that in mind see if you can solve it, if not the answer is:

console.printf("%s", firstname);
