- You use json in tandem with flask essentially for flask to do server side communication
- json is never taught throughout this entire full stack development course
- Treehouse doesn't even teach json
Maybe laying all the teachers off wasn't the brightest idea.

Treehouse TeacherHey Alex Davis ! I can definitely understand the frustration here. I’m not sure which video you’re referring to, so I don’t want to speak to that specific lesson without knowing which one it is.
As far as JSON goes, it is covered in Treehouse, although I agree it may not be as prominent in the Full Stack curriculum as you’d expect. If you’d like a little more practice with it, the back half of AJAX Basics covers JSON, including Introducing JSON.
And just for some context around the last comment: the layoffs you’re referring to happened under the previous leadership. Treehouse was acquired by Xenon Partners in 2021, and the company has since gone through a new chapter with new leadership.
That said, I’m sorry the curriculum has left you feeling like an important concept was skipped. That’s useful feedback, and I appreciate you bringing it up.
